I can't stand it. Some times it isnt a huge deal if i dont care about the movie. But for the most part I hate it.

personaly i comment on film when i watch them, my friends hate it but hey its just who i am and they accept it. they started a facebook group with all the random **** i come out with on a daily basis.

but as long as you dont talk in the middle of important scenes or give away storyline a little chat i enjoy during a film.

EDIT: anyone watching the harry potter films who dosnt know the story deserves for it to be reuined in my opinion.

I got made to watch the new Harry Potter film, and having not seen the others I was completely confused, and being totally engrossed in the film I randomly said out loud "what's going on" and everyone laughed

I hate when someone does it for ages all the way through then you say something at the most boring part and they flip out

I saw a film in America. Think it was Tomb Raider, not sure. Huge Cinema was packed and no-one was talking or anything. Was great.

They really do know how to watch movies in the US. Standing ovations, costumes, rapturous applause and laughter. I've never had a bad experience and I've been to the movies over there more than 20 times since 2003.

That said, a bit of chat at home is nice to discuss something, postulate theories as to who dunnit or whatever and just make the odd comment. Just rein it in that's all.

Anyway, it's all relative. Talking is way better than noisy food packets.

Last time someone talked during the film behind me in a cinema (about 2 days ago when I went to see Tron: Legacy). I turned around and told them that I would warn them only once, and this was it.

15 minutes later, he started again, so I turned around, took the lid off the top of my coke and poured it into his lap. He left shortly after.

You sure he left because of the coke? Tron Legacy was completely shockingly utterly crap?:hehe:

To be honest I actually quite liked the film, and it was a nice ode to the first with some very well tied-in parts.

Oh, and I'm sure it was the coke. He was with some friends, so I imagine the embarassment of it, plus he was wearing some faded jeans, means he looked like he'd just pissed himself.

    Best £1.80 I've ever spent :)

I either have teenagers sitting behind me chatting or someone repeatedly kicking my seat. So roughly half the occasions I go to the cinema I want to get up and brick the people behind me. Those extra expensive sofa seats at the back are worth it trust me. No one behind you and anyone in those seats actually cares enough to watch the film without being a total dick. /end rant

I thought the rear seats were for those NOT watching the movie. :D

The one theater in the city out here only costs $3 and the seats are amazing. They even recline. But they still got those stupid arm rests in between. Bad thing about that theater is they don't show new releases. The theater that does show new releases is $10. Still pretty good if you wanna see a movie that was in theaters 5 months earlier but never got around to it.

    "though".... Yeah..

I really like watching films at home. By my self. There's plenty of things, so here's a list of the first couple of things I came up with:
    1. I can choose what and WHEN to watch
1½. I always get the best seat
    2. I can pause the film whenever I wish
    3. I don't have to listen to anyone commenting
    4. I don't have to listen to the loudest eating person on the world eating 10 liters of pop corn next to me
    5. When the film ends, I don't have to get home
    6. I can choose my favorite snack and beverage without disturbing anyone. Also beer.

So that's about it. The film needs to be seriously good, or the cinema cheap for me to go through all the inconvenience.

Once upon a time, we did a family outing to a theater, Mom and Dad, my little brother, and me. People talking beside us and behind us. I stood up with all my 290 pounds and my Hell's Angel jacket on, gave one deep growl, and said to the people next to us "If you don't shut up, I'll stomp your liver". Whole damn theater was quiet rest of movie.

    just sayin.

My Mom wasn't too thrilled about it or the 290 pounds. Refused to take any pictures of me with hair down to belt in the back and Dumbledore pure white beard. It came in white @ 15 and never changed. White is in.
No sense of humour. My brother told that story to his wife Christmas eve.
