    When they offer levels of storage that would enable you to have sensible applications on it. Media doesnt max out current HDD's so whats the point for films etc??

    Im asuming, that, this SS HDD stuff is kind of similar to the Gigabyte I-Ram, in the sense that there are no moving parts, and therefore an OS is there infront of you without waiting for months on end. Now, im not 100% sure on this, but dont Apple use a solid state drive in there iPods with Creative using Lappy drives in there Zens, couldnt some clever so an so just yoink a drive out of the iPod and stick it in a PC and see how it runs? And ok, if my thinking is right i know its more than plonking it in a PC. My thinking is also the fact that an iPod is now upto around 60GB, so it seems logical to use a drive like that. What do other people think?

    Ipods use 1.8" normal hard drives. Sorry to disappoint.
