Sum optical out sockets ? i dont know what their proper name is either, so searching for them my self is rarther hard . Im in the UK btw, but if ne one knows what there called ... There the ones u find on high end soundcards etc also optical in sockets as well

Rapid Electronics do some Siemens versions from around £3. You can download the Optoelectronics cat section from here. They call em fibre-optic emitters & detectors. If you're not sure what the abit needs, I'd check their newsgroups. Google Groups is your friend.
