Can someone tell me where the bottleneck is in my PC? I had high hopes that I could run LOTR:Online at Ultra Quality, but it tends to stutter an awful lot :(

    1 x AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (2.0Ghz) Dual Core Socket 939
    1 x Abit AT8 32X ATI CrossFire Xpress 3200 + ULI1575 chipset SKT939
    1 x Viking 1GB DDR PC3200 400MHz
    1 x Crucial 1GB DDR PC3200 400MHz
    2 x Sapphire X1950Pro 256MB 256bit GDDR3 (Crossfire)
    1 x Seagate ST3160023AS 160GB 7200RPM Barracuda 7200.7 SATA (Boot)
    1 x Seagate ST3200822AS Barracuda 200GB 7200RPM SATA/150 8MB Cache (Storage)

I know DDR is out of date now, but with a Socket 939 processor, I don't think I can support DDR2.

Does anyone have any ideas? This is just a general request for what I should be upgrading next.

    Thanks

i'm not sure but i think LOTR: Online doesn't have dual core support, which means its just running on one of you CPU cores (which aren't very good on their own). The best way to check this is to have task manager open when its running and see if it goes above 50% CPU usage.

    and your right, 939 doesn't support DDR2.

Try downloading the AMD64 driver here.

I will check if it uses both cores tonight, but I think it does.

And I have the driver installed already, thanks anyway. :)

mixing RAM often isn;t a good idea.
    Also which ULi driver version?

You might want to try the S939 ATi chipset section on the abit-USA forum.
