I like to think that at 61 I was pretty much clued up on what was happening in the world of tech. When I say clued up I mean I have of it and might have even seen it on TV but certainly on line. Imagine my surprise when one of these flew past me whilst I awaited a bus. It is seemingly called an Airwheel perhaps someone can explain why. But my point is I have heard nothing of these things or perhaps I have and senility is worse than I thought. They look fun though I am maybe to old to try. Are they legal on the pavements unlike Hoverboards which are not?
I think the reason hoverboards aren't is they go above 4mph so the unicycles would not be legal for the same reason. I had one of those sitting in my ebay watch list for a while running up to Christmas but it was far too reckless a purchase so I didn't get it in the end. They look like good fun though so maybe come summer I'll revisit the idea.
I can imagine such device as part of an emergency kit in a escape pod "You have landed, please follow the arrows to your nearest unicycle before leaving the pod. Have a safe jouney "
