ive been to halfords and B&Q and the paints there are around £6 a can! i thought this was a bit harsh considering i heard someone got their paints for $2 in the US. is this just standard UK prices or can someone recomend a cheaper place? thanks
If you don't mind spending the extra money initially, then you'd be better off with a spray gun and pooring whatever paint you want to use into that, IMO. It allows your spraying to be more even and better quality as well. Of course you'll still need to find paint at a reasonable price after that.
Quality spray paint is worth the extra money, you get an excellent finish. Personally, I use Halfords £5 per can paint, and it gives a really professional look but I haven't seen any cheaper tbh.
thanks for the replies, maybe ill just get some o the halfords stuff, it is for cars isnt it... but that would still be the same stuff for a case or plastic case front right? it would do the job i think
For the best finish on plastic you should get vinyl dye, which is about the same price as the car paint but works best on plastic. Just bear in mind that it won't work well (iirc) on metal though..
I get my paint for free from my dads workplace. He works for Claas, a major agricultural company and their stock warehouse has all the paint colours they use on their machinery. It's good quality stuff as they sell it on to farmer who need to re-paint their machinery due to damage.
