I was planning on using some colored acrylic in my upcoming mod this summer and after reading some project logs i was even more encouraged to use some!
Question is where do you get acrylic?

Performance PC's has some good AC Ryan UV acrylic sheets (and tons of other goodies) for fairly decent prices.

Open the phone book and start calling local plastic shops to ask if they sell their offcuts. If you find one or two you can get most of what you need for a few dollars PER POUND. I used to get my scrap from Piedmont Plastics but they moved to a new office that's much further away.
I've made entire custom plastic computer cases with only $70 worth of scrap plastic sheets.
Polycarbonate is the preferred material due to is ease of tooling and durability.
