Like i get my stuff at svc, xoxide, frozencpu ect...... how about you guys
Newegg for hardware and....I haven't had any repeat business with any modding shops. I've ordered from FrozenCPU, PCMods, and ScorpionMods, all basically hitchless.
I buy from coolerguys and frozencpu.
Jaycar, PCCaseGear, PC Cooling Australia
(All Aussie places).
I make most of mine, or the hardware is usually Newegg or googlegear... A little bit of Danger den stuff too.
If you've ever been to Traverse City (ya know, the little big town north of you) you might know that everything here is crap. There's a store that sells some stuff locally, but they want like $15 for a no-name LED fan that you can pick up for $2.00 online. Only other place I get stuff if I'm in a hurry is Staples (good hard drive deals sometimes) or BestBuy (only if it's a big sale or openbox for cheap) or even Circuit Schity (not much, but they had a good deal on the USB2 external drive kit)
I like Essential Computers, and All Electronics because I know it's usually the same shipping charge for everything. And I get those nifty packing peanuts instead of those plastic bags of air from JameCo
newegg every time for hardware, best prices ive seen, ridiculous selection, and never had any problems with them and i have spent several thousand $ there in the last few months building computers for people, no problem at all with anything.
i tend to get modding supplies from hardware stores and stuff like that but i have bought a few things from a few different sites, but nout enough to really reccomend anything
not here theoverclockingstore
anyone got any more info on this????
ebuyer for cheap stuff like fan grills.
cheers for the support BooNDoggle
looks like you can strike theoverclockingstore from you list though..........they ceased trading for some strange reason
- Google Gear
- Tiger Direct
- PC Mods
- All Electronics
- Radio Shack (for those last minute things)
Kind of sad/funny that everyone I know has to qualify how they use radio shack... i.e. ("for last minute stuff", or "when I need it right away" or "I don't have a credit card" or "my buddy made me") They really do suck.
What's even more sad is that 10/15 years ago, Radio Shack was THE place to buy electronics. I would go to the mall and spend half my time at the arcade and the other half in Radio Shack. :/
Radioshack (Yes I do go to the real life store whenever I can there's some nice stuff, it's good for small stuff as although the prices are higher shipping is free)
case in point... felt it necessary to qualify a ratshack answer.
Yeah.. just noticed that one :/ Eeek.
They were good too
For electronics stuff: Jameco, Mouser, and (you called it Pflumingo), RatShack for consumables. Hell, I tried to get a fuse at RS for a multimeter THEY sold and they didn't have any the two times I went there in a month. Found it @ Mouser in about 10 min.
20 min drive to bigfootcomputers.com.
electronic stuff, i go to a place on young st. off of spadina in Toronto, little chinese store, has everything, great prices.
try dealsonic... it just came to me as a pop-up.... its got moddin stuff.... so far i didnt buy anything from either stores... just planning then buying
