ooo snizzap! Well I stopped posting for a long time because life got in the way. Computer modding was something I did my first year of college (~2001) but since then I wanted to become a doctor, and here I am now in medical school... it never ends
You only have to look at the member list to see how many inactive members BiT has, use http://forums.bit-tech.net/member.php?u= and then add a number from 1 to 28,000+. Some people registed in 2001 and either never posted or posted once and never came back.
I miss all the news Malfoleo gave us, now I know why the forums seem quieter, the threads I always went for were by a select few. Well The show must go on.
Now I feel my age, never really realised how many people have stopped posting. Cant help but notice that most people in this thread joined up in <2003. I feel as tho i've lost some friends, got to be said, forums have got a lot quieter in the last 6months. Bit is the only forums I post on, dont know why really, most likly because at the time I joined it was the best UK modding site around. Regards GiGo
I can completly agree with you, i miss a few folks that were arround. i dont IRC so i still missout on alot of the shennagans but it's still the No.1 in the UK. I believe the influx of alot of new people who arnt very technically minded or have a good ground of common sense (Keef I keep telling you and you STILL dont listen) bring the forum down alittle. This has been discussed before and there isnt any more to add to the subject. Also people simply grow out of the forums, i have been working solidly the past 5weeks and i havent been posting much but i have been arround but honestly i didnt miss it that much.
Yeah, all the people who start all the good arguements are gone or quieter. Whatever happened to all the random or weird stories malf posted in SD, I liked all that weird news.
I been here a few years now and have managed a massive 1 post a day if i feel i can contribute something. It has to be said that i generally post in the FS forum now and then just read the rest of the forum without contributing posts so much as i used too. I think anyone can get 2000 posts in a year but you just have to wonder how much of that was really necessary!
You are right monkey... a lot is comments to keep people going on their projects and stuff though. And entertainment in GD.
The only one I really remember is Malfoleo, but I too have noticed rather the drop off of regulars posting and a large increase of people who can't spell properly posting.
