No chance that this is legit, but I can't see anything on the description to say it isn't. Am I being dumb today? Is it because it doesn't have the COA with it? How the hell would they get away with selling pirate copies of this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=41888&item=7172303985&rd=1
people do this sort of stuff all day long mate. you can litterally get anything from ebay. and ofcourse some people would look at that and think it was a real bargain and buy it so thats why the sellers like this do it. supply and demand.
if these are pirate, (which for £10 I'd assume they are) arn't microsoft giving away free copyies of windows XP if you have a recipt and you give them full details of where you purchased it.
You will receive Microsoft Windows XP pro and Microsoft Office 2003 on 2 CD ROM’s in a clear CD wallet. Both programs come with all required CD keys. These Programs have no boxes or instructions. The italic bits sound funky to me
Not to mention the 'CD ROM' bit. Pressed CD != CD-ROM. MS won't swap you a cheap genuine XP in return for a burnt copy, only in exchange for faked pressed copies, AFAIK.
I read about this. You have to fill out a "piracy form". There is no real info on how to do this, so I'm not sure about the credibility just yet. http://money.cnn.com/2005/07/26/technology/microsoft_windows.reut/index.htm?cnn=yes
Yea, i'de say that considering it comes with no box, no instructions, and comes in a clear cd sleeve that it is indeed a pirated copy.
Other auctions are good. If its pirated just report it.. odds are though its hot, and just fell off a truck as they say.
Or they came with 10,000 OEM PC's somewhere and he simply "acquired" the software package? Anyway, it seems like a bit of a dodgy one tbh. Worth a try though
