Hi Guys! We're doing some research into games online retailers and we want to conduct a quick snap poll. Please take 10 seconds and answer the following question. Your input is very much appreciated. PLEASE NOTE: this poll is for USA ONLY. There is a separate poll for UK resellers here Kind regards, bit-tech crew Question: Which US online retailer(s) do you use to buy your games (PC and / or console)? If your favourite online games retailer is not listed, tick Other and post below. Please refrain from making any fanboy comments slagging off one retailer and pimping another. This research is just about where YOU buy your games, not about venting your spleen about a bad experience you had. It is assumed that people will vote with their feet.
Just wondering but is this to improve the service of the bit-tech shop? I can't vote as I'm obviously not from the US, any plans for an online shop in Hong Kong? LOL
Amazon for me. I tried ebay but I've had too many auctions sniped so I went the easy route. The one that doesn't frustrate me . I don't buy very many new games from Amazon per say, I mostly search for older titles to add to my library.
I'm from the usa but I buy most of my games via steam or EA link, if I absolutely need a hard copy its amazon.
steam, if something looks good on there. Though I did just buy supreme commander though amazon... but I knew it would be well worth buying...
I purchase my hard copies from GameStop.com. I use it to pick up old games I remember playing back in the day and finally want to get around to owning my own copy. Most of the time if something new comes out I just go to the actual store to pick it up. I'm not too fond of waiting 3 days to get my new game goodness.
If I do buy online it's from these guys: Amazon.com, Walmart, Gamestop.com, EBGames.com (I think ebgames and gamestop are the same though)
I never buy games online. It's not like I have anything against it, but I live within 20 minutes of two rather large retail districts, both with their own shopping malls and multiple gaming stores.
The last game I ordered online was guilty gear x2, and that was because it was my first year in college and didnt have a car yet. I live pretty close to numerous places that sell games, and I hate waiting for stuff to be mailed, so I don't buy online normally.
never bothered to buy them online.. i dont really see a big savings to do that vs. just driving down to my local Circuit City and picking up a copy. [shrugs]
