Does the stock cooler use a standard fan that you can just pull out and replace?

EDIT: IMO your best bet is to either get a cheap aftermarket cooler with mounts for a standard fan, or to set up some green LEDs yourself.

If it's a flower type cooler, you'd probably be better off getting a new tower hsf where you can easily slap on your fan of choice.

I agree. Pick up something like a cheap TRUE and just slap two green 120 mm fans on it. While you can get 60mm LED fans; it's not really worth the noise or the cost, because it's still going to sound like an angry banshee in the middle of furious procreation at the time.

3 pin should be fine. 4Pin just makes it easier for the Motherboard to accurately control the fan.

Some motherboards won't give you any speed control when u plug a 3 pin fan on the 4 pin cpu header. Although the header is designed for both 3 and 4 pin, often only the 4 pin PWM can be regulated so I recommend you search for a green PWM fan. I think Enermax make some quite advanced lighting ones with the appolish..
