Hi guys, I'm wondering if anyone knows anywhere in the UK I can purchase a copy of Mac OSX 10.5 (Leopard) for an old Powerbook G4? I'm starting to think that it's impossible to find it :/.

And while I'm on the subject of older software (and so this thread has some content), do you think that developers should still support older software? (By older, I mean previous generation. I think that Apple should still support - or at least sell - older versions like Leopard, but if you're still using Windows 2000 or ME, you really should upgrade)

Needs to be for PowerPC bro. Surely an old OS can't cost that much?! You get get Snow Leopard for a fraction of that price!

Why don't you install Linux, there are many free PowerPC distributions.

As far as I know there's only one disc for the respective version of OSX and that one targets all supported hardware. So, unless I'm totally mistaken you should be able to install "Leopard" on both PPC and Intel hardware, while "Snow Leopard" will only install on Intel hardware.

EDIT: Scratch that. Just had a look on eBay and most sellers specifically mention a certain hardware platform. Usually Intel.
