Motors Where to get info on numbers of cars still on the road?

    This probably doesn't exist, but I was wondering whether there is any database online that lists how many cars of different types are currently on the UK roads today?

    eg. How many Volvo 440's or how many Vauxhall Astra's are currently still in a roadworthy state (in the UK)?

    Any suggestions on where to look?

    you could possibly try writing to the DVLA, but chances are they wont be much help.
