Where does everyone buy their blank media from? I found a brilliant place once but i cant remember what it was called. It's time to stock up again i could do with a hundred or so, fairly good quality. I got some verbatim datalife plus once and they were lovely. cost about £45 for 100 in jewel cases.
www.ebuyer.com is pretty good, but computer fairs are good too, so long as you can be arsed to goto them, which i cant, I NEED CDS!
Yep had some stuff arrive from them today, everything was very well packed as you can see... I only ordered on Friday as well. Highly recommended
i've got some overprints. My girlfriend got me some from someone at work. Theyre ok, they seem to take pretty much everything i chuck at them but damn, they are ugly looking round svp i'm even ,more impressed than before. I was looking around for a dvd player that can play different media and theyve got one for £50. Also got a pioneer 4X DVD-R burner for about £120. Might get one of them too. The Ritek DVD-R discs are looking like a good buy as well. Not the cheapest at £1.25 each but they look good quality.
if ya want good quality, try intenso GMBH. Me and bro between us have have used about 300-400 of these, and NONE of them hav failed yet! NONE!
No personal experiences, just a list: http://www.ukdvdr.co.uk/ http://www.riverproaudio.co.uk/index.html http://www.ketta.com/catalog/default.php http://www.mr-office.com/index-media.asp?qsSrc=google http://www.hicrest.net/erol.html http://www.bigdepot.co.uk/ http://www.rambox.co.uk/rambox.php?fn=viewcategory&category_id=4 http://www.dvd-and-media.com/cdr media.htm http://www.stscomputers.co.uk/shopbycat.asp?catid=15 http://www.121cdr.co.uk/ http://www.copywrite-rms.co.uk/page_7.html If anyone knows of a place in the UK that sells Vivastar CDRs for less than £19.99 + £9(!!!) shipping for 100, I'd like to know.
Yeah, between me and my mates we've got 400 of em. Of the 100 I got, a couple were badly scratched, another 5 were dirty (but would probably be ok after cleaning). The rest burnt perfectly at 24x, no coasters If you look carefully at it, you could see the original label, mine were mostly Verbatim and memorex. Amazing value for money. Only problem is writing on them!
Yeah i found those disks to be mainly Memorex ones, i don't use them (Datasafe Blue Dye all the way!) but a mate had 100 of them at a LAN and he borrowed them from someone else who hates Memorex cd-rs i wish i could've seen the look on his face when my mate told him he had been using Memorex cds for months!
Well now lets see .... The 48x Plextor CD-Rs from www.ebuyer.com are excellent at around 26p a disc. You can only buy in 300 bulk quantity though, but well worth it. www.121cdr.co.uk are a fantastic company and I have used them many times to get CD-Rs, currently I am using the 48x Taiyo Yuden discs from there. Have bought Datasafe in large quantities from there before. I used www.cd-rmedia.co.uk recently for some 40x Verbatim discs, no problems with the company, but the discs were a bit suspect. If you want to find more companies you can always run a search through www.google.co.uk for what you want, such as (where N is a burn speed number) Memorex Nx Taiyo Yuden Nx Plextor Nx Infiniti Nx Verbatim Nx TDK Nx BenQ Nx Datasafe Nx Datawrite Nx Traxdata Nx "Zero Defex" Nx Imation Nx Prodisc Nx etc...
for those of us across the pond http://www.cdrecordable.com comes highly recommended. I haven't ordered from them yet, but I will shortly. We go through a load of CDRs with the photo business.
another vote for www.121cdr.com (svp) have ordered from them a fair few times now, they have good stock good deli and easy to navigate shop col
