which burner out of these 2

    plextor 24x or the lite-on 24x both do SD2, but the plextor is £50 more which has 2 yr warranty. Also my 3rd hard drive in 3 months has developed a fault so any recommends on 30- 40 giga for about a tonne.

    my vote is for plextor too

    they are currently top dog IMHO. - if you can afford a burnproof one, get one.

    might be worth getting a new PSU if your drives keep dying.

    Cheers, i went for the lite-on in the end as the plextor has some trouble reading discs (possibly fixed with a firmware update). Thanx again.

    P.S the lite-on is the dog balls.
