Guys, I'm planning a nice trip to Paris with my Panasonic 20mm 1.7 lens and wanted to buy some Circular Polarizing Filter, 46mm.
Which one is does what it supposed to?
    Hoya, Hama?
Hoya is like £25, so was looking for something cheaper, but still doing its job. I read some review of cheaper ones and people complain that they are not ideal.
Is it worth pay £25 for one?

I had a Sigma EX circular polarizer and it was excellent, but they are very pricey. You might be able to pick one up on ebay second hand for a reasonable price. Definitely avoid the cheaper ones... they are just a waste of money. There's a reason you pay around £100 for a good quality polarizer: they work!

I am using Hoya HD 77mm CPL. They do work and they do work very well.

I have tried a ebay value one for 52mm, they don't work as well and the glass is now loose.

You can go cheap on the rocket blower or the camera strap, but you don't want to go cheap on the filters.

I use a Jessops Digital Pro. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Marumi DHG Super, great polariser, mechanically sound, good coatings, and normally available for a lot less than the list price, try here, but its going to hit at around the £40. a Cpl is 2 pieces of glass and cheaper versions tend to flare and cause Vignetting. they can also be a pain to rotate, remove from your lens and the glass gets loose quickly.

I'm getting Hoya one, found someone who has unused one for sale on TalkPhotography.
Will see how it's gonna work with 20mm Pana pancake...
