    hi guys

between dremel 561 (Multipurpose Cutter) and 9903 (3.2 mm Tungsten Carbide Cutter), which one is the best for cutting alu/plexi/acrylic?

    cheers

While I've hardly memorized the different dremel bits, I always use the fibreglass-reinforced cut-off wheels for alu. Occasionally the standard heavy-duty ones (those dark sand-ish ones), but only if I don't have any of the better ones available.

Likewise for acrylic, just set it to go really slow so it won't melt all over the place.

I got those fibreglass-reinforced cutting wheel as well but it seems like its easier with the cutting bits (for straight line, small place etc....)

thanks for the reply though :)

in my experience the fiberglass reinf wheels work well with thin alu sheeting and for straight lines. The cutters are better for curved cuts. I would prefer the Tungsten one.
