Graphics Which DVI port is dual link (nx7800gt)

    Does anyone know how to figure out which of the two port is using the dual link controller ?

    I thought they both were, but could be wrong. On my 6800GT there's a tiny 1 and 2 imprinted into the metal bracket next to the two DVI ports; if a 7800GT has those labels and only one port is dual-link, I'd imagine it'd be number one. It's the "bottom" (interface-side) on mine.

    Of course, you could just try one and if you can't get the resolution, try the other.

    Unfortunately I couldn't really test it beacause for the time being my display (panasonic PT-AE700) is only a 1280*720.

    I just wanted to make sure that i could take advantage of the greater bandwith so that I can use a longer cable without degradation.

    I think you're right it is the bottom one, using it allowed me to change the custom timings to be closer to those specified in the PJ's manual so I don't have overscan anymore. :clap:

    Hmmm but that only means im using the on-chip TDMS, is that the dual link one ?


    ps: on Win PC cards only one port is Dual link ( if your lucky) its the Mac cards that have two DDL ports.
