basically i want a decent brand 46" FULL HD tv... for around 800-1000.... at the moment i'm not sure anything can beat the toshiba 46XV555DB as that looks the nuts... 24fps/gaming mode/lots of inputs and outputs/decent colour engine/1080p yada yada yada... but i'm not sure if theres anything that can beat it at its price of 860quid or if its worth going for something £1000? will anything beat it for its price to quality ratio? or am i better off pocketing my 200quid and getting what i'm already looking at? any links please to reviews on my tv or other tv suggestions with UK links and prices please? i can hold out till the 23rd if theres anything soon to come out but either way i want it by then....
I would personally go for a Samsung as Samsung and Pioneer are the best panels. We just got the A656 40" and its amazing . http://www.samsung.com/uk/tvseries/index.html#product/ Theres a link to their TV selection
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10376354 I plan on getting a 42" Philips. My sister has the 42" version and it's a great TV.
by the way i don't want ANY plasmas.bloody hate them.gotta sit further away and bloody burn in its as stupid as putting up with artifacts on graphics cards.they should just work not be something we have to "live with" no way. and samsungs seem to be a bit dodgy and cheap though:/ i was looking at a panasonic though
Samsung, Pioneer if you can afford it. I got a Samsung Series 6 40" (with the red hue to the surround) and its great. I eventually got mine for £680 which makes it just that little bit better
I was last employed testing terrestrial cable systems for certification in the US. All our reference TVs were Samsung. Period. Wanna pass set top box certification to sell in US market, it must look good and perform on Samsung. Ever see the Discovery Channel on 110" reference TV? Awesome. Makes the Harley builds near full size. john
I've never had a problem with sony tv's, my parents just purchased 2x 40 inch 1080p S series models, and they are very happy with them... the newest model has 1 extra hdmi port (ours came with 3) and it was an extra 200 bucks... so far, we've had em for a week and a half, and the digital cable and ps3 on hdmi both look amazing compared to the standard stuff we were using prior to purchasing them...
looking at this considering it was 1300+ quid and now i can get it for 922 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135529 love it.screw bloody plasma's no gay burn in for me.sexy 1080p24fps time for me.anyone think anything can beat it for a grand? 52" aswell
