is it cheaper to buy a watercooling system eg for about £117-£140 notes or to buy the parts seperatly or as a friend is doing build a watercooling system from scratch?
I don't know which would be cheaper, but you'd probably get better quality if you bought individual pieces. Bit like building or buying a pc.
I see like this.... You either buy a modded case or do it yourself. If you have the time and you don't mind putting the extra research in then the rewards out way all the effort. If you don't have the time and would like some one else do it for you then, in the form of a kit or case. This is by no means the soft option. What ever you opt for be prepared for some time consuming installation and testing. Good luck and keep us posted
I have to agree with Kong here. I've tried a kit and I did not find the results all that spectacular. Although my kit was the lowest end you can buy (Ahanix Iceberg anyone ), from what I've gathered off the forums, you will get better results if you buy water cooling accessories seperately.
Cheaper I dout it....Better cooling? Probably....Most kits on the market are pretty basic cheap as possible components *notice i said MOST*....Not many kits meet everybodys needs as far as space, budget, ect...Try looking around for yourself finding out what you want and compare the prices....
What I'm doing is buying a cheap kit (Tt Aquarius II), and then upgrading it over time as I get the money. That way I reckon I get a decent cooling system, and then I can upgrade what I don't like. Also means I know it all fits together lol
Like Haddy said, most kits sux, but not 100% of them. A great site for uber performing kits or parts is: www.jpiperformance.com It's possible to beat even these kits, but not by as much, and not as easy.
