Any suggestion for a bag for my new laptop (dell vostro 1700)? I would just go with one of the gadget show's (jason bradbury's) top five, but they are a bit expensive. any ideas for one a bit more reasonably priced? Laptop specs are: Dimensions & Weight Width: 15.5" (39.4cm) Height: 1.7" (4.4cm) Depth: 11.5" (29.3cm) Weight: Preliminary starting weight at 3.45 kg (7.62 lbs) http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/p...onb_1700?c=uk&l=en&s=bsd&cs=ukbsdt1&~lt=popup
My wife has a Louie Vuitton for her laptop. Damn good looking but costs more than most mid range laptops. ROFL $2100 USD for a bag. I carry mine in a $5 charity store find. Check them out! A lot of Targus bags out in the market. John
I have the Targus Citygear Chicago Backpack, it is a great laptop bag. Comfortable, and has space for my Uni stuff too.
i have a targus backpack not sure which doesnt seem to say anywhere, space in the main pocket for me laptop (15.4 screen) inside a padded sleeve that came with it, and a couple of text books, a pad and a couple of sandwedges.
get a "crumpler", i have a "sticky date" for my xps m1730 cool, strong and practical! definatly woth the money
I have a Vaude bag and I love it. It doesn't look to much like a laptop bag, more like a normal rucksack which is a bonus. And you can remove the laptop bit for some extra space when you don't need it. It is this one, but I have it in a colour they don't seem to make http://www.vaude.de/hps/client/vaud...produkte/1/2339/2385/2389&ext_image_color=040
Consider a Crumpler neoprene sleeve for your laptop then you can chuck it in any bag you like. The current range is "the gimp" and they also do a line of Leather covered sleeves as well. Got mine off ebay and it fits like a glove. http://www.intro2020.co.uk/pages/crumpler24.htm
I've been looking for a bag for a new laptop, saw those crumpler bags, but i was thinking of going for a Nike messenger/laptop bag.
They were expensive because they did a proper job. Move down the list till you find one you can afford but don't chep out lappy's are expensive and need expensive bags.
When you say "bag"... do you mean a back pack, or a briefcase style carry bag? I just use a cheap (briefcase style) Trust Notebook Carry Bag for mine. But then I only carry it from my flat to my car If you want a back pack... there are a range of Wenger Swissgear back packs which look good/discrete... are available in different colours... and aren't particularly expensive (typically £35). By "discrete", I mean they don't look like back packs intended specifically for laptops. Manufacturer carry bags/back packs - which invariably have their name emblazoned on it, might be enough to tempt nefarious characters into making a grab for it, and you don't want that happening
I got one of these for my Vostro 1700, fits great and room for extra. Its a briefcase not a bag though (it came with a strap though) Here
