As the title says I'm building a Z370 gaming build
Cpu will be a 8600k overclocked
    memory will be 16gb of ddr4 2400
and the gpu will be a 1080 gtx
    What motherboard would be good?
Been looking at the gigabyte arous gaming 7 the asus rog strix, asus rog max, and the msi carbon and gaming m5

I have been a fan of the Asus boards for years, they have never let me down and perform well. I have the Strix atm but have had ROG before and love them both. May cost a few quid more but it saves on headaches later.

They're good with overclocking. You won't be held back with them, that's for sure. Not on the CPU front anyway...

On another note, Asus boards have some of the best fan control in the bios, no need for any hw / sw fan control Cheesecake:clap:

That should be helpful I’ll be running a nice water cooler loop with two 360 rads. Does asus still use the ROG Connect at all? Haven’t seen any mention of it on their sites but it would be cool if they did and I could use my raspberry pi for it

Only a small number of boards can still use it like for example the Maximus X Apex, but the rest of the Z370 boards don't have it.
