HI there!!! Iintend to buy anew motherboard for my computer but a very good overclockable because my ASUS P5NE-SLI is rubish for overclock.

The motherboard want is to overclock a CPU Intel Q6600, with Intel Chipset and to be SLI compatible and the price acceptable.

I was thinking of Asus P5Q series or Biostar T power i45 but both of them are Crossfire technology compatible.

Is anyone who knows a good motherboard?

    Thank you!!!:duh:

Do you say about P5Q Pro Turbo?
But what do you think about the Asus P5Q Deluxe?

    LGA775 + Intel chipset + SLI = not possible.

Nvidia only allows SLI on their own chipsets and X58.

Ok I understand that but usualy I go to see the reviews but I still believe in the real world applications so I would like to know which of the motherboards can be good to overcklock an Q6600 CPU with Corsair 4096 DHX.

Basically, you'll have to choose whether you want SLI or a decent overclocking board. Do you already have two nVidia graphics cards which you'll need an nVidia board for? If not, ditch the SLI idea and get a P45 board.

Any reasonably high-end P45 board will be fine for overclocking without breaking the bank, and the Asus P5Q/Biostar I45 are as good a choices as any. Those or the Gigabyte UD3R/P should get a decent overclock out of your Q6600. Don't bother spending the extra on an X48 board.

What PSU are you using? You'll need to be sure it'll be able to handle the extra load so your overclock is as stable as possible.

The DFI X48 boards are great for overclocking.

I am afraid both chipsets do not support SLI just Crossfire which i am not fan of it and the only chipset which support SLI and Crossfire is the X58 which doesn`t have LGA 775 is just for LGA 1366. I think I will go for Asus P5Q Deluxe which is very well built and is as good as Biostar TPower I45.
