I need an MSN clone to use at university. MSN won't install because it needs administrator rights. I've tried trillian but it crashes a lot (on win NT anyway) and takes a lot of disk space. I've tried GAIM but that crashes even more often and is even more bloated in size. And I've tried Miranda which is great for size but doesn't seem to work anymore. Any other MSN clones available that people use that work on NT and aren't too big (ie under 15mb).

There is a web based java (IIRC) version of MSN that you dont need a Download for... cant remeber the link though... Its kinda buggy and not got many features, but you can chat to people which is its main purpse anyways...

A couple of peeps use Easymessage in the labs here in uni. Not used it meself so cant vouch for it, but think it'll run from a directory wihtout having to install anything :thumb: Dont know about NT either as its all 2k here...
