So I know the Samsung NC10 is supposed to be the mother of all Netbooks, but I just noticed the Asus 1000H (160gb, linux) is priced a good £40 cheaper. Begs the question, which to get? Asus 1000H : £270, 160 GB, linux, atom (I'll probably wipe linux and install windows XP) Also, I think this has the 2 finger scroll on the trackpad which makes my life a million times easier. Can someone confirm this for me? Samsung NC10 : Great reviews, £310, 160GB, xp, atom any other features i should bear in mind that one might have other the other? ie, blue tooth, more usb ports, things like that? Or if u got any other options make yourself heard! Main purpose will be for lecture notes, recording seminars, uni meetings, usual things where a portable netbook is dead handy. Currently my 17 inch MBP is just far too heavy to be lugging around and causing back ache. too heavy. Ta, Sotu
well, for starters... the Eee PC 1000H doesn't come with Linux. that would be the 1000. the 1000H actually comes with XP preinstalled. and yes. the 1000H does have the multi-touch trackpad. though not too sure if the 1000 does. i heard it doesn't. never actually handled either but... if looking at specs... the NC10 has 800Mhz ram while i believe the 1000H only has 667Mhz. so NC10 may seem bit faster. the 1000H has Wireless-N capabilities, while the NC10 only has Wireless-G. so 1000H may be faster at times with the internet. the 1000H has a funky right shift key. not sure of the shift key on the NC10. the 1000H weighs 1.45kg, while the NC10 weighs slightly less at 1.27kg. which leads to the 1000H being slight bulky. hope that helps any. lxrysprtmscl
