HL2 Doom III and far cry for me...cant say much more than that. hope they fix the glitchy errors from the far cry demo

UT2k4, FarCry, Splinter Cell (out 31/3!!), doom 3, hl2.. probably stalker if the end product is up to much
Im going to be upgrading my PC based on how well it runs Half-Life 2. Ive also pre-ordered UT2k4, if thats considered a next generation game.
ut2k4 won't be a real next gen game it is almost the same/the same engine as ut2k3 only grapics will be better, vehicles and new game types and maps gameplay will be updated because of vehicles and gametypes i think splinter cell pandora tomorrow won't be a real next gen game because the gameplay will be the same as splinter cell except for new gadget's and moves and the multiplayer which i hope will be good

does 'Painkiller' count as a "next gen" game? coz i played the demo for hours. shooting zombies through the mouth with a stake (well a log really) and watching them being stuck to a wall is quite amusing really.
it isn't a next gen game because it almost the same game as serious sam 1+2 it is a fun game i played it too but it has nothing that really is new in hl 2 you can smash almost anything and the grapics are really good doom 3 has also very good grapics and good shadows and stuff
I have already played FarCry (Pre-release single player, and ya legaly) It is a great and LONG game. (20+ levels) But I think it has more modding potential then most other games. It comes with a great WYSIWYG editor called SandBox, that makes map editing super easy, plus the scripts are easy for anyone to modify. HL2 will be fun, but we have yet to see any progress on it's release. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I have just recently heard of, but the graphics look very good.
HL2 source code was copied by hackers. so they went back and changed what the hackers copied. Doom 3 will be sooooo cool, i remember playing the first doom, doom 2, final doom, and i thought they were good, can't wait to get it, already pre-ordered it . splinter cell: pandora tomorrow coming this march, yeay : 2 player half-life 2: winter 2004 halo 2: summer 2004 hitman : contracts: fall 2004 CAN WAIT TILL ALL THESE GAMES OUT!!! buying them all when they come out
If your average supernerd can find the HL2 source codes on the undernet; then why can't the HL2 tekies at Valve find them also? That makes no sense to me, nor does the simple fact that the Valve programmers are a bunch of idiots who made no backups of the source codes and the only copy that they had was on an unprotected/unfirewalled PC connected to Outlook Express.
well actually someone placed the source code on the wrong computer, which caused the whole cycle of events to take place. they arent stupid for creating such a cutting edge game, but they made a very unforgiving mistake, so i guess we have to wait until its release (now even longer than expected). Dont forget Halo 2 is in the same kind of situation which unexpected delays in public release. I guess games these days are getting so complex and require a ****-load of programmers/designers, that mistakes will happen, and extra time is needed to correct these mistakes, which leads to delays in release time.
Aparently Far Cry just went gold. Deus Ex 2 just came out over here too. American got slated for the laggy gfx, but aparently this is improved with the uk release. Could be a fair few wallet lightening fps's on the horrizon :/
