    Dearest Bit-tech family,

I'm working on my file server and need some advice on a new PSU. I think my current one has finally given up!

    Current Hardware:

    Asus A8N-SLi Premium
    AMD Athlon64 3800+
    4x WD Red 2TB drives
    1x Intel SSD
    XfX 8800GTS.

I'll admit the spec is old, but it does the job on dishing up lashings of 1080p goodness and I'm cheap.... very, very cheap.

Recommendations please chaps and chapesses, looking around the £50 mark.

I'd say the Corsair CX500 would be a good shout. There's also the gold rated Seasonic G-360 but I'm not 100% sure if its got enough grunt for your server.

Edit: This EVGA 500B is not bad apparently.

    I second the CX500 (or the CX500M).

Any decent 300w or more psu will be fine.

In that case, CX430/430M or if you want more efficiency, that G-360 I posted earlier.

G-360 is several times better choice.

Looking at some reviews, the Antec high current gamer looks really good for what you pay
