    I've got an AOpen AX3S mobo,a PIII-800 and a Celeron 1.2GHz sat here.

The P3 has a 133MHz FSB, while the Celeron only has a 100MHz FSB. Assuming the AOpen supports a 12x multiplier (not checked yet), which would be the better combination for speed and power consumption?

This PC is used for web, email, music and films.

There's a BIOS upgrade available for the mobo, but having read the change log I don't think it's going help. Guess I'll be sticking with the PIII.

It never hurts to update to the latest BIOS.
except in some rare or beta cases.
Of course if it works, don't fix it; is a good general rule.

Anyway, I'd go for the PIII just because it should have a little more ability than a Celery.
Overclocking or maybe underclocking should be possible as well. If you're going for a media PC or something.
