I am looking at getting a new video card to replace my 3XSLI 260 GTX SC Core 216 setup with a 9600 GTX for physics. I am gaming on a 1680X1050 Samsung 2233RZ 120 HZ 3D monitor.

    Computer specs
    I7 920 @ 3.8 Ghz
    18 GB Triple channel DDR3 1600
    240GB OCZ Agility4 SSD
    EVGA E760 MB
    1200 W BFG PS
    NVIDIA 3D vision kit

Which card would be the best for gaming at that resolution in 3D(120 hz max settings), the EVGA 670 F.T.W 2GB, another brand 670, or a 660TI and why that card? I haven't seen any reviews with that rezolution or gaming in 3D this is why I ask. I will probably use one of the 260GTX for Physics and sell the other 3 cards in the system to recoup some of the cost alothough i'm not sure how much their worth.

    Games
    Borderlands 2
    Assassin's Creed all of them
    Sleeping Dogs
    NZXT
    Dirt 2
    DausX Human reveloution
    and several others.

The quicker the better for 120Hz.

Also, does having a card dedicated to PhysX actually make much difference these days? It seems quite an antiquated concept.

I'm not sure if a Physics card makes a lot of difference but when I get a new card I will test that theory.

    At least a 670 I'd think.

I am in a rush to leave the house but I did read somewhere that some of the older cards running PhysX for a new card will actually hinder it because it can't keep up. But you already have the card so you have nothing to lose if you experiment. I'll try and find the article when I get back.
