    Its the quesiton again, how should i put the water cooling system together?

    res -> pump -> rad -> cpu -> res

    or

    res -> pump -> cpu -> rad -> res

    all the other posts ive read about use the maze series of blocks, but I am gonna use the D-Tek White Water :)D) and hear it needs a high flow rate to work properly, soooo, which do you think would be best?

    Thanks.

    Yeah you probably need a lot of flow rate, but unless you've got the universes most agressive pump, or a rad that doesnt reduse flow rate at all, i'd stick the rad AFTER the block.

    On the other hand YAMMV.

    (why not plumb together the rad and the block, stick the pump on one end, and see what kind of flow rate you get. Then STick the pump on the other end and see what happens.

    ive got a ThermoChill 120.2 rad, and a Hydor L30 pump.

    If be flow rate your mean the volume of water passing a point per second I would imagine that it would be equal at all points of a series circuit. I think the issue might be the pressure drop over any given item in the circuit and its impact on the flow rate over the whole circuit.

    However if it turns out that water flows though the circuit at the same speed regardless of the order of the obsructions, you'd be best with the block after the rad as the water temperature will be lowest.

    the speed of the water would vary depending on how many components it has gone through, so i think it would probably be best to have the cpu right after the pump.

    Not quite. If the water flowed more quickly into the rad than out of it, then the volume of water inside the rad would have to increase, which isn't what happens.

    The rad reduces the flow rate in the circuit - all of the circuit. Flow rate (volume/time) will be constant in any series circuit.

    Pretty simple answer...Try them both....Every person's setup is a little bit different...So basicly see which one gives you the best results...
