So I finished making my site and posted it on bit-tech's programming thread, of course, but now for a less important factor... Under my products I decided to grab some pictures of a case and monitor and put them together to give my clients an idea of the type of computer they would be getting. My wife was very persistent that she felt a beige monitor would "go better" with a lian-li than a black one, so my big question for today is, would it? Guys And girls, I need opinions! She felt no girl would buy a setup that looked like this. (keep in mind I'm gearing this PC towards small business owners and people who don't even have a PC yet, so it is NOT a power machine!) Hmmm - I would have said a black monitor would be better. Beige, as we all know, is the work of the devil and just plain wrong
Over and above what GOO said (which I agree with), if you're gearing this for small businesses, I'd dump the 17" CRT and put in a 15" LCD.
Black always looks better, unless it's a beige case (which i know it's not, just sayin) Make this into a poll...
I wonder if maybe I should just have a picture of the computer setup? So you see the computer on the floor next to a nice desk with a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, all black? Also, I forgot to make sure and note not to comment on the site, just so we keep the thread in the right place & all. (feel free to go to my thread in programming and development to comment on it, since I know you want to ) Anyway, so far more for black. Why can't they make aluminum monitors? Maybe I should buy one of the monitors and find a way to add a clip-on brushed aluminum casing. (at an extra fee, of course!) How do I go about making this into a poll? Moderator? Moderator?
RTT stopped polls in the GD boards because people were creating too many rubbish ones... Ask a mod and they'll sort it for you though
I didn't even notice... there were quite a few people posting silly poll's though, i guess we were exercising the right for a bit, probably would have died down after a week or so...
all of the computers in my office have beige, it blends in with the whole office much better, so beige is my suggestion, but at the same time, offer the black, if someone wants to have a gaming machine or something they might want the black for their house, it might match the surroundings much better. if you want to really class it up though, ditch the beige and the black and go for a 15 inch KDS silver flat panel, it would match the whole system a lot better and still not look out of place in an office.
