I got a special deal because I was buying two phones (Mrs GOO was as pissed off with Orange as I was) - they did some sort of price match deal and I got the 6100 for £50, T68i for £25 and a decent Motorola BT headset for £75 (For her indoors when she's in the car).

Thats pretty interesting as me and my g/f are both in exactly the situation that you and Mrs GOO were in so I might go and see if we can sort something similar out.

Did you have to do much wangling with the sales guy to get that deal?

i won't tell you what my cell phone bill runs me every month between business and personal calls...

lets just say I use over my 1000 anytime minutes every month.... fortunately i have unlimited nights & weekends on my plan or I'd be in for twice as much (this is why I have such a huge credit line with Tmobile.... I can owe them $600 and they won't bug me.... I think my limit is $1000... its great)

fortunately though... it's a "business" phone.... so I don't pay it out of my pocket (which is why I spent the $300 on my Motorola and didn't think twice about it... also why my gf has a T68i, and I've got a s105 floating around as well)

and get the 6610...... the 5100 looks like a damn toy....

Not that much, TBH. Like all sales staff, they must be on commision, so they just want to sell you a phone at any cost....
