Whistles

Does anybody have any idea what the best whistle to buy would be?
I have recently had a cheap pea whistle but it was not very loud and I have just lost it.
I am looking for a whistle that can be heard over quite long distances whilst outdoors.

Dog whistles can be heard for miles, by dogs

Try something with ACME in the name, im sure there loud

 

I know it sounds like a joke, but Acme do make cracking whistles (the company predates Wylie Coyote )
The good old Acme Metropolitan police whistle is the best, my dad had one of these from way back, before the police stopped issuing them, they're VERY loud. Those police forces that still have the whistle chain as part of the dress uniform are now just that, the chain

 

Just go to your local out door store, and ask them what they have, and if all else fails take some fireworks. there bound 2 get you noticed, even if there not entirely practical

i want a dog whistle

 

the new pealess ones are supposed to be best, sometimes when you are really blowin into them the pea can lock up and it just whispers. new ones will get louder the harder you blow, that is, until you literally make the whistle explode.

Scary, my dad has one of those titanic ones in a gold color, really old.. might have to check that out!
