Well, I talked my father into taking the Frontera to the quarry where I had my "Photographical Day Out" as posted a couple of days ago. So here's a few pics to prove that these are good off roaders, I had a blast and so did my father and it didn't falter anywhere, even going up a wet grass 30 degree incline. I thought this was the best photo opportunity as it was too cold to go out and take pictures of everything. This it taken at the TOP of the mountain, the frontera had no problem in the quarry, or getting up here on wet grass/rocks/sand/mud/slate etc... --- The "Posing" shot --- Its a good job the Whole bottom of the car is plated, there were some deep ruts out there where we were driving on two of the wheels and the car was Sliding accross the rest... great fun. --- The back wheel here was right up in the arch and it was right down on the other side, the suspension didn't make for a good shot because its all plated! (BTW - for those wondering, the "Blob" on the bonnet between the windscreen wash nozzles is the GPS reciever ) --- Just a couple of shots from me pa's Sony camera, they've been resized because he insistst on taking all his pictures in "Hooje Size" --- --- When the weathers nicer you can have video's and everything... I'm still waiting on nigel before I can post pics of our fishing trip!

i think it was mmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeee as when i take a 4x4 off road im talkign a land rover series III propper off roading, no hill descent, hill climb whatever, no abs, no power steerign nothgin to do the work for you jsut a dirty great diesel engine & a well designed gear box now that is a propper 4x4
Try an insanely powerful diesel engine (especially with the little black box "turned on" ABS, what ABS? don't need it with LO 4x4 Gear. Ok, I'll let you have the steering bit But I know where the fuse panel is I've maybe talked pa into buying a cheapo landrover and lifting it a good foot or so for the EXTRA FUN bits
I'll wait for the Lake to fill up a bit more then did it yesterday through about a foot of water, but it was too cold to go out and take piccies.
you want propepr driving though water use a land rover series III with snorkle you cna have it so low in the water your arms are under water but it will keep going
so can I give my mother your address when she wants an explanation why her car looks like its been rolled in a cow pat?
