They aren't making very many and I'm pretty sure they sold out the first run before one had even come off the production line. There'll be a lot of people willing to pay far more than £15k for one, so I'd expect prices here to be very much inflated :) Cars with appeal like this don't really apply to the 'economic climate', either.

That's what they call "racing grade fuel"? :D
We even get 98 octane from most of our stations (used to be all of them, but some chains have started taking their 98-O pumps away these days).

The RT and SRT8 both have it as an option. 6 speed manual and an LSD (so no lairy rear end....to a point, I wonder if you can lock it? ;)) and I believe multilink suspension all round as standard on the RT and SRT.

I'd avoid the SE, 4litre V6 with a 4 speed manual, the spec is rubbish. the RT can be had with the 20" as well as the SRT8.

Depends how it goes I guess, but if it's under £20k I'd be happy. The RT is significantly cheaper BUT I doubt many people will import them over here. They do, however, expect that to be the most popular model.

    Actually - my bad.
American ratings are 4-5 points below European ratings... thought it was the other way around...

The challengers are just like the new Nissan GTRs, they are selling way above msrp because of the high demand. Some of the first production easily went for 50 - 60K USD.

The same thing is happening here. I've seen the stock $20k one selling for around $40 or 50k on ebay.

The new Shelby GT500s were $15k-$20k above MSRP and that was just to get first dibs.

Top gear is good for a laugh and entertaining although Jeremy Clarkson is very very very biased when it comes to cars, you want a more balanced view read a magazine like Evo or possibly Top gear although it aint as good.

Personally I think the car is ugly as sin, question is will it corner which the Corvettes can.

Car & Driver and Road & Track test drove this car for their magazine, it won't corner that well. Although this was the gimped RT with some ESP still on, being unable to be turned off. It's now available with a fully off mode though.

SRT8 still isn't very good at handling. Best stick to straight roads :thumb:

Charger ≠ Challenger. I used to build and drive them for my job, buddy. No comparison.

mph... I'm in Canada... Dash goes up to 300, but my bro doesn't drive like an idiot, he only guns it when there aren't many cars on the road, and he will never be one of those idiots who weaves in and out of traffic going 200+... but 200 on a on ramp which is supposed to be 60... It's a damn powerful car.

Well yes, but normally he doesn't do that in his car...forgot to mention there were no cars on the ramp / in the next few lanes over... Normally he drives the speed limit, or 10 - 20 over, but he will never ever weave in and out of traffic... We've come to realize speed has a fair impact in frequency of accidents, but it's also the driver. We've seen a lot of accidents where someone is weaving in and out of traffic and they hit someone and its a big chain, next thing you know its a 4 car accident...
