Actually, the real point here is that we have the first Prime minister that isn't an a white protestant, and it totally wasn't the issue anyone was really concerned about.
My main thought on this is that we can go to the next election with two serious politicians with differing views as to the best solutions to the situation rather than um, the last pair.
Assuming the current pair survive til then. Wasn't Blair Catholic [by conversion]? or did that come after his PMship
It was after. But it turn out that Boris Johnson was catholic, though he was previously confirmed as Anglican when he was young. https://www.theguardian.com/comment...minister-no-10-watershed-moment-boris-johnson My mistake.
Except Asians everywhere, whose parents are now dragging them for not achieving enough... "The Prime Minister? INDIAN!"

Which Tory MP was complaining about the promotion of incompetents? It's a rare old motley crew, seems to have scraped the bottom of several barrels of useless. Tough times ahead you say Rishi, due to mistakes your party made. Awesome, thanks for that.
The US Govt reaction to Sunak seems to be - Leafy Sumac? Rashy Snorkel? Rusty Sandbag? Who cares, he won't be there long enough to warrant learning his name. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
BREAKING - Monday's "Not-A-Budget" government financial statement has been postponed to Nov 17th, but they're letting the OBR have a look at it this time. UK economic plan pushed back by two weeks, Jeremy Hunt says The much-anticipated roadmap will now take place on 17 November, the chancellor says. www.bbc.co.uk
To be fair, it sounds like Sunakhunt are actually taking the time to work out a plan, instead of the Kwarteng and Truss 'Cut Taxes, Cut Services, Market Forces LOL,' approach. Whether that plan will actually be any good. Well it's the Tories, but I'll give them a little bit of credit for at least appearing to be trying.
