The largest ever moveable structure I believe.

I'd love to go but personally I'm to afraid of getting shot by a S.T.A.L.K.E.R or being attacked by some weird mutant

I would love to go there. There is something strangely fascinating about abandoned structures.

Yes, we're destroying the nature, but I meant the planet isn't going anywhere and compared to that we're just a by-passing phenomenon.

Pretty fascinating place i would love to go i hear some things about it which is just amazing you don't actually take note of the sacrafice the miners took to stop this becoming a massive disaster (I know it was but it could have been so much worse)

There had to stop a second explosion that if happened would have damaged europe pretty badly, the schools and stuff is just crazy to see that its not really been touched since that day although the pictures with gas masks are supposed to be placed by photographers... What maniac would want to go inside there...!!

Also the pictures or pripyat with all the trees they even grew through the buildings

I would love to go there i think it would be a creepy place to bee

I definitely want to go, but by myself or with a mate or two. Not as part of some tour group. That just sounds ridiculously boring.

I'm on board, when do we leave?

Keep in mind that the other two units of the NPP remained in operation for another decade or more after #4 blew.

EDIT: While we're there I want to visit the Russian Woodpecker :D

It's pretty easy to organise - I looked into it last year sometime, you can get yourself down to Kiev for some fun, then organise a guide to come with you on a private tour of the place. Not only that, but you can do a submarine base tour and all the other eastern bloc attractions while you're there. :D

It would be cool to visit, but only if I could get semi-close to the reactor

It might be cool in a few hundred years though, when we have radiation-proof outerwear that doesn't involve several tonnes of concrete and/or lead.

Definitely LOVE to visit Chernobyl. In fact I was planning to do it last summer but ended up at Auschwitz instead. Summer holidays eh? Not what the used to be.
