I've got an HPI Nitro MT

    It's a 1/10th scale Stadium Truck, but with 4 wheel-drive.

    :D

It's got an HPI 15FE engine, which I will be replacing some time with a more powerful unit, but I might try modding it a bit first (porting, etc) :naughty:

I also wanna get a 2-speed transmission for it some time as well :D.

I've just changed fuel - I was using Model Technics duraglow 10%, and switched to Blue Thunder 20%....

    What a difference :eeek:

There's been an enormous increase in low-end torque, and throttle response :D

Uh, I didn't add nitromethane to the fuel, silly :p

    I bought some different fuel.

My engine can take up to 40% nitro, but I want it to last a while :)

Nah, it's ok to change fuel as long as you clean out the old fuel from the engine, and re-tune the carb. :)

You have to clean out the old fuel because there's a possibility of the oil in the new fuel reacting to the traces of oil from the old fuel.

You have to retune the carb because the new fuel will be mixed differently (ie more nitro and slightly less oil than the old fuel in my case) so i've got to make the mixture slightly richer than it was before.

    [/nitro :geek: mode]

    :p

edit: btw olv, how much was that 1/8 buggy? me wants :naughty:

Mine is such a bitch to get running, get the right mixture is so hard, it either doesn't get enough fuel and stalls, or floods the engine and stalls :grr: takes forever to get a proper run out of it
