Windows Why cant anyone make DECENT software?

    I want to record internet radio from an rtsp stream (bbc), and after about a dozen programs only ONE did what it was advertised and allowed me to record streaming audio, but it ASSUMED that the source is http so everytime i input the stream in it added http infront of it.

    F-F-S :grr: :grr:

    I swear software designers soley employ idiots. Except here.

    I just wanna record the radio ffs, is that too much to ask??

    EDIT: Great, now Trent Reznor and NIN is on Radio 1 and im not recording it cause ive wasted AN HOUR looking for software.

    i know it can, i put in the address but it just wont play it :'( only WMP classic will :/

    get a cheap tape deck. plug it up from the front out of your sound card with a 2rca/3.mm cable, and hit record. always worked for me.

    I know how you feel. I'm a HUGE Nine Inch Nails fan, and saw the reminder on The NIN Hotline, and I nearly cried. I haven't seen them live in almost 5 years. You lucky ducks over there in Europe, they won't be to my area until September or so. *shakes fist*

    Tk - im one of these "digital or nothing" people im afraid. Ive never used a tape in my life.

    There must be somewhere in some file that has it so that is enabled to add http to it... I'm sure you could HEX edit it somewhere... whats the program?

    Damn you. I'm going to see the Minneaplos show. They haven't released the midwest tour info, but I know that they're coming (they've been here on every single tour). Myself and a friend are going. Hope you have a lot of fun.

    FlashGet will download from RTSP streams. I use it all the time to download streams from Radio 1.

    You can also try All Sound Recorder XP which will record any sounds being played by your PC to disk.

    Simply use any sound recording program and change your volume settings so the recording source is "What U Hear" :)

    I do it all the time with SoundForge
