Really think your rig is cool man, but isn't the case a bit of an overkill for the conponents you actually have in it? Whats your plan for cpu/gfx/mobo? :( :thumb:

How did you get on with those fans? As quiet as they claim?

Mod is seriously impressive BTW, good job!

Im really liking it. It's good to see a practicle, yet, good looking mod instead of something that's just purely sexual and completely useless to use.

I am waiting a little while before any major upgrades....have a 7800gs coming and am swapping the mainboard out this weekend.
At some point I will upgrade to either AM2 or possibly Intels' conroe chip but TBH its gonna have to wait a while.
I will add another water loop as I've vague plans on a home brew HD cooling...watch this space.

Thanks Sam. The three fans on the rad are real quiet. They are wired into a Zalman fanmate and on the lowest setting they are not audible at all yet provide plenty of cooling. Even at full speed they are still quiet....quieter than the Akasa Ambers I have anyway.

is it possible to hold it at the top and bottom, and then by having a block at the bottom you can hide the tubes (make a channel, and have a direct run between the 2 res's)
Im not sure how well it would work, but interesting to try maybe ?

The visible tubes at the bottom is my favourite bit!
I think if I was going to redo it I would move the mounts further to the top and bottom and maybe make slim metal mounts to blend in with the aluminium caps.
    Easy to say in hindsight!
I may have a fiddle though :dremel:

I've just finished swapping out the MSI K8T I used for testing and also changed the 6600gt.
As it stands the final (for the moment) spec is:

    Abit KV8 Pro Rev 1.1
AMD 64 3000+ (currently a tad over stock at 2250mhz)
    2 gb GSkill PC4000
    Club 3D Nvidia 7800GS
    1xSeagate 120gb
    1xWestern Digital 300gb
    Hiper 'Type R' 580watt PSU

    Watercooling is:
    Alphacool/Ehiem 600 pumpstation
    Alphacool Nexxos Xp cpu block
    Alphacool SNB/N NB block
    Alphacool HC360 rad
    2x Cape coolplex 250mm res
3xExtrema Pro 120mm fans on the rad @900rpm
    2xAkasa Amber 120mm fans as exhaust @1000rpm

    Temps are currently:
CPU 13c (I'm sure this mainboard reads a bit low  )
    PWM 29c
    Sys 25c
Both hard drives are at 22c

Under full load the CPU temp never goes above 23c and the PWM hovers at 37c.
When I had the 6600gt in it had an Innovatec block on and never got above 37c....compared to the stock cooler that ran around 60c
Still looking for a waterblock for the 7800GS....anyone seen one?

Hope thats enough detail...but feel free to ask for more :thumb:
