Just installed Win 7 Home x64, now trying to install my wireless card, an Abit Airpace Wi-Fi.

I already know I have to use funky drivers to get the card to work, but when I first install it it lights up, and then during POST it goes dark.

Then, in Windows it wont register the card at all, so I cant find it and install any drivers.

Windows also says it cant find the drivers for the Ethernet Controller either.

I've gone through the BIOS and turned all the PCI-E slots on, tried it in all the x16 slots and the x1 slot (Board is an EVGA 680i A1)

Any ideas? I need this set-up ASAP

Damn, I was about to pounce on this for some +rep. It's an Artheros AR5006X, apparently. Absolute bargain of a WiFi card.

    Keep an eye on it.
I've had to pull loads of those out of machines as they were causing BSOD's after a couple of MS updates

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I've been using mine for over a year with no issues.

    I was using

It's very strange & may be related to a conflict between the chipsets I was using at the time but of 30 HTPC's I built for people of very similar spec after about 14 months or so they all had the same problem.

I think it's one of those YMMV things
