Anyone else got theres yet? Mine just turned up : It now look like some kind of balloon faced freak lol Some kind of dust cover, I've never had a dust problem if thats what it is. It makes it harder to remove an attachment. All the padding makes it a lot bigger, there is a hole for the IR LED's mind. Nice bit of grip, comfy You won't be able to scratch to face of the controller either.
Still waiting on mine. I don't like how they look, but I'm willing to disregard that if they make a noticable difference in comfort.
I got mine... I'm impressed by the quality compared to other third party jackets... Easy to put in and out, and holds very well in place, and doesn't block any connections, nor the IR LED's. On the mail package it says: "Wii Remote Accessory - Consumer Giveaway of no commercial value" and next to it says "Value (US $): $2.26 each" And it comes straight from Nintendo America from Redmond Also if you ever wonder.. it doesn't come in a package.. it is just your wiimote jackets in side a plastic bag, which is inside a plastic bag envelop.
Mine arrived last weekend, I quite like them it gives the remotes a nice positive grip. I know two people who have bought Wii's in the last fortnight, one got a cover with their console and the other didn't - I guess its simply down to how new the stock levels are. Of course you now realise that the arse is about to drop out of most of the aftermarket remote covers now that Nintendo are giving them away on their website. All we need is an official cover for the nunchuck and that will really spoil the market.
Waiting for mine. Got 4 coming for free in the mail I don't even have 4 Wiimotes either (Don't ask why, I'm lonely )
Ours came in the other day. I put it on, laughed to myself about the way it looks (yeah, me too), found that the small hole interfered with the IR, then realized that the jacket makes it so the Wiimote doesn't fit in the recharging dock. After about 2 minutes I removed them, and now they're collecting dust in the entertainment center. Oh well, I never had a problem gripping the Wiimote anyway. -monkey
USA Wii? All wii's owners can get it. Just go to the Nintendo site of your country. In your case, nintendo.com (see it's even on the main page) Here is a direct link: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/jacket/jacketrequest.jsp
I got mine, but I'm not sure I like it. Anyone else find there's not only had that lovely new smell but also a hint of pine freshness? Was a bit weird...
