well i agree with mrwizard, i think you've done a fantastic job and made the wii more personal to yourself
oh gawddamn...i thought this was just a pc case etch...then i realised it was a wii total conversion...kick ass man!
Thank you. I know its not as interesting as some of the PC mods on here, but I knew I could finish this one in a relatively short amount of time and not become an unfinished work. Now that you mention it: The LEDs have been replaced (0603 SMD are smaller than I thought) and now the colors match the players colors in the game. The left window has been bothering me as time went on. The edges of the transparency can be seen through the vinyl. I reprinted the transparency and cut it to the same shape as the case. I cut another skin and applied it. Spray adhesive was used and now the left side is completely smooth and has a much better finish. Some bigger pictures if you care to see more detail:
Very nice, now go do some nunchuks Just be happy the LED's where not 0402 or 0201, I hate dealing with those.
Awesome work - wouldn't be my choice of colours, but it's still great work. Loving that LCD with info.
if you want to make the "frosting" on the plastic case, look more uniform you could always use a high grit sand paper, but looks good from here
Whoa, awesome never thought I would see a modded Wii... my idea was way more boring than yours... I wanted to make mine black and change the DVD Slot light to white... But then I realised the Wiimotes would still be white, etc etc and then let that Idea die... The modders on Bit tech always amaze me with the ideas they have the quality of the execution... Well done!
I tip my e-hat to anyone who can solder smd ANYTHING. I can't even see the little turds, much less solder them.
Thanks guys. My secret is I have one of those lighted magnifying headbands. I couldnt do half the work without them.
Awesome work. Love a good wii mod. Yours isn't quite my style but it's very well done. Love the LCD addition.
