Wii / Wii U Wii - VIP account + wii shopping

Has anyone linked their account successfully?

Every time I try I get "Invalid username or password" which is annoying as I can login on the laptop right next to it.

 

Yeah it worked fine for me.

 

Worked fine for me when I first set the console up. One thing I found makes it act odd is having the site open on your PC at the same time. Something about too many connections from that account.
Also are you using your email address to sign in or your username? I found the Wii prefers email.

 

I use the email address, but the Wii Shopping channel doesn't work for me at all!

Not sure why, will have to try when I get back home, but I may have to store my Miis on a wiimote and reset all the updates.

 

Works now, musta been a server update.

Where is the best place to get wii points.

 

I think it's cheapest if you can to get the points direct from the Wii store with a credit card (£6.99 per 1000 last time I checked, so £13.98 per 2000) Other than that I think the average going rate is around £17.99 per 2000, though the HMV site has them for £14.99 (http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1&sku=588260)

 

Problm is that I don't have Visa or Mastercard, just a Maestro Debit card

 

I guess HMV may be the best bet then.

I'm a bit disappointed. I was hoping to use my Nintendo Vip points to buy some games on the Wii shopping channel but after linking the two accounts it says I have no Wii points. Is there no spending these on the Wii?

 

That was an internet rumour. Nintendo never confirmed it.
