    Hi guys,

Thought I'd ask this before I spent the money:)

I like to listen to music while I game and was wondering if I had a something like the Mimo UM-720S 7" touchscreen setup, with foobar running on it, would my game get minimised every to I skip or select a track etc? I'm running Win7 Home 64bit, and the rest of my spec is in my sig.

If you come out of the main screen it will. What I tend to do is just hit the next track button on the keyboard.

I tried that but for some reason the G15 media keys aren't working with Foobar.

Can't comment on Foobar, I've always used windows media player or media monkey. That always worked just fine with any key board.

Most games when full screen prevent any interaction with the second screen I'm afraid. WoW allows a full screen windowed mode that allows it, but as soon as you click on teh second screen there's a frame rate hit. That's the only game that I have that allows it though. Everything else locks out the second screen.

I tried a similar thing with Winamp, but my keyboard controls stopped working when the game had focus.

hmm, I tried media monkey last night and it only displayed the track artist and not the track name on the G15 screen, and then locked up. Winamp works perfectly however. So no touch screen then. You'd have thought with the processing power available today, and the prevalence of multi-monitor setups M$ would have got this sorted by now. Oh well.

Never tried programming any of the dedicated Macro keys on my keyboard for this purpose though... so maybe that would work.

The media keys are working fine with Winamp, so I'll stick with that for now.

There's a great addon for foobar called Winampl]API Emulator. Last stable release was for winamp 0.96+, but it never caused me any trouble at all. I am using it right now with the latest release. "Designed to create a fake Winamp 1.x window which will act as a wrapper between applications written to use the Winamp API and foobar2000. "
