Got my new lappy here, and its got all this Dell **** on it that i dont want. I wanna just chuck on my WinXP Pro over this crappy Home edn and format everything (they have an AOL icon on the desktop; i nearly cried) and start again? I dont need software support from them, only if the hardware fails which ive got warrenty for anyway. Will Dell tech (depending on whether i can get through to a human) throw a fit and refuse to look at it or can i go ahead and do what i want software wise?

They surely can't moan if you've done an OS upgrade. If they do, complain to Bill. :naughty:
