When MacTels arrive over here, and Apple realease a new range of powerbooks based on them, will they use Yonah? The new Pentium M dual core. Would that be the logical next step for Apple?? Ive no idea how their current line compares or when they last updated the speed/etc

The guess is "Yes" Yonah debut in early Jan06, macworld/intel iBook in early Jan06

Also, I was under the impression that yonah included dual core, not that all yonahs were dual core - it's just the next gen pentium m.

Yeah, the rumour is that the first Intel Macs will in fact be the first Yonah-based laptops to be unveiled. But these are just rumours and nothing too substantial. If you want a link, here you go, although thinksecret is not particularly reliable. Apple usually keep these things pretty close to their chest, and I doubt we will know until January :)

Well Pentium M as a multitasking CPU is a POS, but a dual core one would rock. And Im interested in a DC Yonah MacTel cause I could then run OSX and WinXP on the same machine.

Probably, although if Jobs announces new iBooks at MacWorld, they may well be available to order the next day from the online store. Like the video iPods, like the last Powerbook iteration etc. I personally hope they don't change anything major for a little while, I only just got my PPC Powerbook :p

they probably will, but it might be a while since they'll need to have the pro apps ported over before they're really marketable.

Personally I don't think we'll see any Intel stuff at MWSF, if we do, it'll only be a 'What we've done so far' display.

If you look at OSX86 its hardly finnished, there are no decent graphics drivers yet, which most likely would be a problem.

    That's what you think.....

Just remember - they only need 1 graphics driver - they make all the hardware and you can't upgrade the graphics on an iBook.
