Will the new AMD CPUs work with a Soyo mobo?

    Seen that the new AMD CPUs will they work with the Soyo dragon Ultra or will they use a different system?

    yep....well should think so anyway....might need to flash the bios...

    Yep, they should do as they are still Socket A and the chipset is pretty new, but like flix said, you may well have to flash the Bios!

    if your talking about the hammer series there supposed to be releaseign soon then i dont think they will as they look different to the current type

    Ah yes, the hammer series, I was talking about the latest XP CPUs which should be fine with the Dragon Ultra!

    were talking about the difference between Palomino and Thoroughbred cores on the XP. Palomino= .18 Thoroughbred =.13. The socket and form factor are the same.

    AMD made a promise that the new clawhammer will work with Socket A based mobos that supports XP's.

    I believe the ClawHammer uses the socket 754.. and can be seen below

    Note the absence of HSF lugs. Replaced by a similar mounting system to that of the P4... Something IsaacSibson emphatically pointed out a while ago :D
