I certainly wouldn't say no t having it added to my tools. It wont replace a dremel but it'll be damn useful for a slot of stuff.
That's pretty dang handy, and it's safer to use because you know why? It's easy to control and no jumping around with jigsaw, dremel, etc.
Is it basically one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-PMF-180-Multifunctional-Allrounder/dp/B000WQOXV4/ ?
Yep- there are quite a few different brands with this type of tool available. It does look useful for cutting straight lines in 'soft' materials, though I wonder how well they cope with something like a decent thickness of aluminium for example..
You would lose all the drill like bits that are available for the dremel (engraving/buffing bits etc). A dremel would provide a more useful range of tools imo.
These are good for cutting in awkward places mostly. Fein is a particularly expensive brand to chose for one. If you want to spend buttloade 'O cash for a rotary tool replacement, I'd go with a Foredom.
Nice looking tool but I would agree with the others I don't think it will replace the dremel. But wold defiantly be a nice to have.
